The most awaited film “Kabali” has acquired fairly positive reviews from the audiences today, releasing in Tamil as well as other dubbed versions.Rajinikanth‘s brilliant performance and his introductory scenes along with the background score have won appreciation. No wonder the producer of the film, Kalaipuli S. Thanu is one of the busiest men at the moment.
S. Thanu is a renowned producer in the Tamil film industry who has many super-hits to his credit. He started his career as a distributor and is the number one producer in Kollywood today. He was the distributor who came up with the moniker “Superstar” for Rajinikanth in the promotional posters. The first time, he met Rajinikanth was some years back when he picked up his movie “Bairavi” for distribution. Eventually, he started producing films and his first movie produced was “Yaar.”
After a superhit with Vijay‘s “Theri,” Thanu is very jubilant with Superstar Rajinikanth’s “Kabali.” Interestingly’ Rajinikanth’s “Kabali” had a grand release today while “Theri” is completing 100 days. “Kabali” is likely to shatter all records previously set by the film “Theri” which was the biggest Tamil hit at the box office so far this year. This film and has earned good profits for the producer, distributors and exhibitors alike. After getting fairly positive reviews, the film collected Rs. 13.1 crores from 425 screens in Tamil Nadu and minted Rs. 28.96 crores from the global box office on its first day.
Recently, Telugu film “Baahubali” had raked in $1,382,076 from it’s premiere in the United States while Hindi movie “Sultan” recorded a notable collection of $786,194. Now “Kabali” has broken all of those records beating all expectations collecting about $1.5 million .
