4 years for Andala Rakshasi

Andala Rakshasi” is set during the innocent days of 1991. It is centers on three pure hearts. Written and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film is produced by Sai Korrapati and S.S.Rajamouli under Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram banner. The film was released on August 10th, 2012.
Sai Korrapati’s leading Indian film production house is ‘Varahi Chalana Chitram’ and he recently produced the super hit film “Manamantha” starring Malayalam superstar Mohanlal.
Midhuna (Lavanya Thripathi) is an ordinary college going girl who finally falls in love with a street guy Surya (Naveen Chandra,) after his numerous attempts to impress her. Suddenly, when everything looks bright, they meet with an accident. On a different track, Gautham (Rahul Ravindran) is a rich kid but lives on his own, playing a guitar in local pub for pocket money.
He sees Midhuna and falls with her on first sight. His father offers to save the life of Midhuna if she marries his son, to which Midhuna’s parents readily agree. Later Midhuna, confronted by this dilemma and finally yields to the love and affection showered by Gautham. At this time, a twist occurs in the story.
This is a complex story but director Hanu Raghavapudi had executed it perfectly. Overall this movie is a tragic triangular love story. All the new cast and crew of the movie did perfect justice to their roles. Dialogues were excellent and added to the fresh feel.
This is not a kind of movie for regular movie goers who want fights, romance and comedy. People who enjoy movies like “Geetanjali“, “Ye Maya Chesave” and tragedies will enjoy this film. The three characters resemble the 3 celestial bodies, Sun, Moon, and Earth. The story celebrates love and exposes the dark tormenting side of it as well.
